Decorative borders are linear parquet decoration elements resembling a frame with inner and outer borderlines.
Decorative borders are crucial for parquet floorings—they are even used much more frequently than medallions or any other décor types. This is one of the most ancient and ubiquitous kinds of decorative flooring elements combining both esthetic and practical functions.
Decorative functions of borders:

Classic border types that you can find in our catalogue:
Simple. An elegant simple line made from two or three wood species. For example, borders 7-003, 7-007 or 7-012. Such laconic borders often line off the margin strips and parquet composition.
Geometry. Symmetrical geometrical ornament, laconic and strict pattern which perfectly fits into modern interior designs. For example, borders 7-020, 7-056.
Plaiting. One of the most famous ornaments which used to symbolize the protection against evil spirits. Nowadays, plaited decorative borders serve as a wonderful addition to various interior designs regardless of their style. For example, 7-079,7-076.
Meander. This is an ornament with a continuous line shaped into a repeated motif. Our predecessors found the special magical sense—the Greek key shows the human course of life. For example, 7-150, 7-161, 7-179.
Flower ornament. Flowers have always served as a home decoration in any part of the world. Artistic parquet with the floral ornament will make your house appear elegant and light. For example, 7-199, 7-297.
The Baroque. This a classical style known for its magnificence, a wide range of colors, and the intricate massive décor. Artistic parquet floorings are typical for the Baroque interior designs. For example, 7-299, 7-406, 7-430.
The Empire. Majestic and elegant—the Empire style manages to combine the classical strictness and rich decorations. The Empire borders would become the perfect solution for such unusual interior designs. For example, 7-558, 7-566.
Art Nouveau. Flowing lines and asymmetry. Parquet flooring ornaments repeat the lines and shapes used in the modern design projects. For example, 7-580, 7-433.
