«NWFA Wood Flooring Expo 2009»

On May 26, 2009 in Saint Louis (MO) "National Wood Flooring Association" announced that Art Parquet was recognized to be the best among 142 companies in the nomination "Best Living Room/Family Room". 

The total area of the awarded room is 652 square feet. Designers offered an unusual solution: a huge medallion covers the whole floor.

The medallion emphasizes the centre of the room and arranges the space. The base of the medallion is a geometrized net. The medallion is noted for simplicity and exactness of crossing lines. At the same time it is pompous and elegant. Rhythmical alternation of dark (walnut) and light (maple and oak) wood species create a colour change of textures when lightening the medallion at different angles. Contrasting effect of the medallion emphasizes general lightness of the interior and makes it a compositional centre of the room. The medallion adds the living room an elegant austerity of the decoration.
 
The flooring entered perfectly the designer’s conception of the decoration. Thanks to this decision all the elements of the room created a harmonious interior.
