Military prosecution

Military Prosecution of the Southern Military District is situated in the former house of A.I. Burtsev who became the owner of the factory of brass-ware on the cusp of the centuries. The factory worked since 1810, in 1857 the bell-casting factory was added.

In the end of the 19th century a house was built on the ground floor. The house contained the factory's booking-office and services. The owner's apartments with the main entrance were on the first floor. After the October revolution Burtsev's factory was nationalized.

Performed work

We participated in restoration of the building that is a historical architectural monument on the one hand, and the military procecution is housed there on the other hand.

The company's designers suggested that the central element of the interior should be parquet flooring. It should combine austerity and official stiffness and at the same time be luxurious emphasizing the style of old interiors.

Geometric engineered tiles were used as flooring. Sides and diagonals of quadrates form straight lines, this helps to concentrate on work. One of the peculiarities of the parquet flooring is in using three different patterns (Gordon, Verona and Versailles) for each separate room to emphasize their function - study, rest room, reception room. All the tiles are stained in one colour ("Luce" from Universum collection).
