The State Kremlin Palace
In 1960/1961, the Moscow Kremlin territory housed a new palace to hold congresses, conferences, theatre performances, and concerts. To follow one style, the architects connected the State Kremlin Palace to the Grand Kremlin Palace.
There are over 800 rooms in the State Kremlin Palace, among them a 6000-seat auditorium and a stage with unique facilities. The auditorium is surrounded by light and spacious lobby. In 2018 the State Kremlin Palace became a cultural heritage site.

The stage of the State Kremlin Palace
Reconstruction technology depends on the floor conditions and comprises several stages: preparation phase, partially replacement of time-worn parquet flooring, filling gaps, and final sanding.
During preparation phase, we evaluated the quality of wooden flooring and the degree of wear and tear of facing layer by means of organoleptic method and instrumental control. Time-worn, damaged, delaminated, and squeaking elements were identified. The color of filler was thoroughly chosen to merge perfectly with the whole flooring color composition. Special focus was on flautness fault.
Find below the drawing, where the floor is divided into areas in terms of the type of requied parquet works: blue hachure—rampa replacement, red hachure—parquet replacement, and light blue area—sanding required.
Our high qualified team replaced partially the flooring, filled joints and holes, thus giving wooden floors smooth finish.
Lobby in the State Kremlin Palace
Our company repaired parquet tiles of oak, wenge and in the lobby of the State Kremlin Palace. The total area of reconstruction works was 1,540 sqm.
To take up the multilayered varnish covering we sanded the floor surface. The use of modern equipment allows to remove the decorative layer of parquet gently, especially when working with softwood. As final touch, we assessed the quality of parquet flooring and its wear condition (facing layer).
Only 20 sqm of parquet needed to be replaced. This quantity of newly produced parquet was under very attentive eye of our team to achieve a flawless result, matching texture, color and cut of the wood.
After repeated sanding and filling, 6 layers of primer were applied on parquet.
