Production

Production is a complicated technologic process including provision of raw material, wood drying, high-accuracy machining and products quality control at all stages of production.

The company’s production policy includes development of the appropriate working cycle, choice of the equipment, creation of technical basis, and selection of the staff. The main criterion of the production policy is products quality.

Factory

Art Parquet is a factory of complete production cycle.

Its total square area is more than 5000 sqm, production buildings have a square area of 3000 sqm. More than 100 experienced specialists work at the factory (technologists, engineers, millers, assemblers).

The quality of parquet is largely governed by the quality of raw material. Parquet is made out of environmentally sound wood after careful selection in accordance with the standard DIN 280.

Wood cutting takes place in woodshops. The sawmill produces a board the thickness of which is the width of future plank. Multiple saws make laths from boards; panel saws and crosscut saws trim laths; line gauges and grinding machines polish and improve the quality of the surfaces.

Complex of drying machines

Complex of drying machines consist of kilns and steaming apparatus "DeNARDI". The kilns "DeNARDI" guarantee wood stability and absence of wood casting and cracking. To monitor the process special controllers are used. Thanks to these controllers the set balance of temperature and air is maintained in the kilns.

Workshop where the production of block parquet takes place is fit up with modern equipment:

  • multicoordinate milling machines made by the worldwide leaders of complex equipment for parquet production GEBR. SCHROEDER GmbH & Co. KG (Germany) and "GUBISH" (Germany);
  • optimization line OMGA (Italy).

Parquet planks have the thickness of 15 mm and 22 mm, the thickness of the "working' layer is 8 mm. The width differs depending on the wood specie and grade and can be from 50 to 90 mm, the length can be from 210 to 750 mm.

Massive board has the thickness of 22 mm, the "working" layer is 8 mm. Equipment adjustments allow controlling the deviation of dimensions up to 0,01 mm.

Curvilinear details are made on computer numerical control (CNC) equipment. This equipment cuts accurately complicated contours, trajectories and minute details according to the set programme accurate within 50 micron.

Sawing machines are used for production of pattern parquet and borders consisting of linear details. The use of sawing machines guarantees high productivity of linear details.

For the production of artistic parquet different techniques are used: marquetry (arranging the picture out of separate items to the full depth of flooring), intarsia (inserting artistic elements to the partial depth of solid flooring) and the combination of the above-mentioned techniques. The company’s specialists have reconstructed the technique "graphier" that was considered lost as of today. This technique allows the creation of intricate patterns made of thin lines on the parquet flooring. Art Parquet is one of few companies that use this technique.

To add parquet flooring stability and provide higher productivity when laying it, medallions’ details can be collected on a glass veil (temporary base) or panel base; borders’ details are glued together. Depending on mosaic patterns their fitting can be made in two ways: the details are scotch-taped on the face side or are stuck to thin netting; the details are glued together and are framed into a regular shape. The company’s specialists worked out and introduced into production the technology of ultrasonic gluing of mosaic patterns and stands. This technology provides high productivity and stiffness of structure. Gluing of details is made only with environmentally sound water-based glue.

Art Parquet uses traditional technologies, past experience and at the same time works out and introduces new technologies that allow production optimization. Today the company has become a leader in artistic parquet production at Russian and international markets.

High results obtained by the company were marked by the National Wood Flooring Association. In 2010 and 2011 the company gained the award in the nomination "Best CNC Cut" (the projects "Tajik President’s residence" and "National Tea-house", the republic of Tajikistan, Dangara). Value and complexity of the parquet flooring was that mosaic parquet consisted of many curvilinear details with the dimension from 10 mm.
