Faceted Chamber

The Faceted Chamber is a preserved throne hall for state receptions built in the end of the 15th century. The Chamber was built in 1487-1491 at the command of Ivan III by Italian architects Marco Ruffo and Pietro Antonio Solary. It is the most ancient stone building in Moscow. The Faceted Chamber was named after the architectural design of its facade coated with faceted white-stone blocks.

Today the Faceted Chamber is an official hall in the residence of the President of the Russian Federation.

Art Parquet accomplished parquet restoration works (430 sqm) on the ground floor of the Faceted Chamber (semi-basement) in accordance with historical materials.
