Awards

Completed works

The floors are decorated with complicated compositions in the oriental style. The uniqueness of the project is in the harmonious combination of modern trends and national traditions of the unique culture of Tajikistan.

We have taken into account the fact that elegance, beauty and expressiveness, variety of ornaments, and harmony of proportions are the main outstanding elements of the oriental culture. We tried to emphasize the rich spiritual world of this sunny republic and its traditions. The parquet pattern reflects all the cultural symbols and floral ornaments with exotic flowers. The parquet tiles were made in the form of arabesques and traditional stars.

Bright contrasting wood species such as padouk and wenge (red and black are especially closely connected with the Muslim culture) and many others (pear, ash, walnut, maple, oak, merbau, jatoba, beech, kempas, lemon tree, and amaranth) were used in the parquet ensemble of the palace. Such bright wood species give the parquet floor scenic appereance typical for the nature of sunny Tajikistan. The parquet manufactured for the reception hall (2600 m2) can be truly considered as one of the most difficult projects in the entire history of Art Parquet.

The floor design was worked out in such a way that while entering the room you can see the biggest element in the middle. For the high-quality installion a lot of preparatory works were conducted on site: right at the factory the parquet ensemble was divided into separate blocks (the size of the smallest one is 514 x 514 mm, the largest one is 1600 x 1300 mm) that were ready for installing, and a clear instruction for the assembly works was developed— the measurements were carried out with special care and accuracy.

The laying of the parquet involved 13 people, and it was conducted in the course of three months. Thanks to the great preparatory work, the accuracy of the CNC machines, and the patience of our professionals the flooring looks like a single finished composition.

The compositions of other rooms of the palace were based on the following classical drawings:

• Parquet tiles: 6-082, 6-149, 6-299;

• Medallions: 5-465, 5-493, 5-572;

• Borders: 7-310, 7-529;

• Decorations: 8-105.
